Rated the number four art museum in all of America, all I can say is..."get thee to Baltimore, ASAP."

Wow, congratulations to the city of Baltimore for "getting it."

Here is the link

On a recent trip through the Northeast, we had the opportunity of stopping in New York City . It was a Monday and the American Folk Art Museum was closed, but the Museum of Modern Art next door wasn't. Going through MoMA the one noticeable thing was that so many fantastic works of art are all in one place. Rooms full of Picasso or Matisse.

What about the rest of the world that would like to have a museum. Do they get one, maybe two?

Let me tell you, Baltimore, has got it figured out. What a place! I can't contain myself writing about it. It is an off-the-hook experience that is top-notch, matching the fantastic setting of the harbor surrounding it. It is big - three multistoried buildings and it is above all stimulating. That's how I measure my experience. What did I feel like when I left.

The killer deal is that on your way out, you can buy art from most of the artists shown in the muse am in the gift shop......... Can you dig it? Not postcards, real art from the artists hanging in the shows!!!!!!

To contrast the experience, check out this review of an art show recently held in Virginia Beach. This is an actual reprint of a review. Can you make head or tail of what was being shown? Would you get in the car an visit it? My guess is that not unless you were having your art shown in the exhibition....Click here to see the review.

The point is this never, never consider driving past Baltimore. STOP. If you have gotten this far on this site, you are absolutely going to thank me. If you haven't seen it yet. STOP. GO NOW.

Congrats to Ted and the fine folks in Baltimore. This is truly a vision of the future for art museums everywhere.
