| Do you have a gallery, a special show or an event that you would
like to enhance? Perhaps your museum would like to feature contemporary outside
art at a special exhibition? This is what we recently accomplished on very short
notice for the organizers of Folk
Art Pittsburgh |
|
|
Never mind the mail, the show had to go on...
Mary Proctor (who traveled 30 hours
from Tallahassee, FL), Dave Clayton
and Paul Flack braved one of the worst
ice storms in recent history to be featured in the Who-Ha Da-Da's "Tomorrow's
Folk Art Today" exhibition. |
| Radio contact was lost somewhere around Charlotte, NC as you will
notice from the ice on the antenna. |
|
|
|
Over 200 pieces of artwork from Kim
Clayton, Dr. Bob, The
Lasters, Missionary Mary Proctor,
Paul Flack, Miz
Thang Willie Willie and Eric
Legge was safely installed within the warm confines Brewhouse, Space 101 gallery. |
| Kim Clayton's art
car was installed as part of the exhibition in the gallery. |
 |
 |
And along with the art already packed in the Jeep, ample wall
space was found for her work... |
| ...and a generous supply of angels by Paul
Flack |
|
|
|
The
Laster Blasters never looked so...ah...organized. |
| And of course Eric Legge's
work helped to brighten the whole gallery up, |
 |
 |
Willie Willie
sent up a taste of Louisiana, |
| and of course Mary Proctor
held court among her exquisite collection of "Mary Sayings." |
 |
 |
Miz Thang's people hung
out on the three large support beams. |
| Friday night was an intimate reception, |
 |
 |
Our host Rob posed with an elated Dave Clayton who enjoyed the
hospitality afforded him by local artists. (His transportation was confined to
the gallery for the duration of the show.) |
| Pittsburgh is a totally cool environment. |
