Penny is a resident of Rome, Ga, educated at Kennesaw University. She has been teaching
middle school art at Sonoraville East Middle School for 11 years. She travels throughout the
North and Southeast participating in art shows such as "the Atlanta Dogwood Festival" ,"Folk
Fest", and "Summerfair". She is the mother of two wonderful boys, and has been married to her
former art teacher for 5 years.
I produce artwork because I have to. I have the ability, and have to use it.I enjoy painting, and love to see the colors on the canvas. I love to go to art shows and
have people comment on how my work looks and makes them feel happy. What an awesome thing to do for people. I don't have any hidden philosophical meanings in my work. When I look at a flower, I don't think about the seed that it came from, or the rain and sun that made it grow.
I look at it and it makes me feel good. That is what I hope people do when they see my work.
